Vaginal thrush (yeast infection),
also designation as vaginal infection, is the most frequent genital infection with women.
The vaginal thrush is caused mainly by a fungal infection candida albicans,
therefore one speaks also of candidiasis.
In the healthy vaginal walls are fungus, bacteria and germs in a healthy equilibrium.
In the case of a disturbance of the equilibrium the fungus, an infection begins.
